About the Network

The Network is an all-volunteer coalition of immigrant and refugee rights organizations and individuals in Washington that strive to protect, serve and strengthen communities across the state. The role of the Network is to provide support, capacity and resources to organization’s efforts to build power and a united voice in Washington.

In November 2016, in the wake of the election, a state meeting of immigrant and refugee organizations convened to unite and fight against the unAmerican and unconstitutional rhetoric and legislation that resulted. The Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network has evolved into a diverse coalition of groups with backgrounds and specialization in education, policy, direct services, labor, and more.

The working groups in the Network are focused on developing community response teams and reporting tools to galvanize support and mobilize resources in response to ICE activity.
